NORTHWOODS LEAGUE TEAM COMING TO WISCONSIN RAPIDS

The Northwoods League is preparing to expand to Wisconsin Rapids. Today beginning at 6:00 PM, at the Centralia Center in Wisconsin Rapids the owners of the expansion Northwoods League team will be introduced. Mayor Mary Jo Carson along with Northwoods League President Dick Radatz, Jr. will be on hand.. The Northwoods League is planning on entering into a lease agreement for use of Witter Field as the home for the 16th Northwoods League franchise, which would start play in 2010. The League currently has affiliates in five Wisconsin cities (Wausau, Madison, Eau Claire, La Crosse & Green Bay).
