CHRISTMAS ANGEL PROJECT HELPING FAMILIES
Friday, December 11th, 2009 -- 2:56 pm
Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

Times are tough, but dozens of area families are getting help from the Christmas Angel Project.

A group of dedicated volunteers were hard at work Friday, organizing presents donated for hundreds of area children and families. They’re all in the basement of the United Church of Christ. Deliveries will start Friday.

The program works like this: if you want to help, you simply go to Pamida, banks, St. Mary’s or Memorial Medical Center, you pick a card with the wants and needs of a child, and you do what you can to fulfill the wish.

Cathy Schnabel of Granton is one of the organizers. She says they’re still looking for donations of things like socks, girls’ and boys’ underwear, snowpants and toiletries.

If you have any questions, or would like to help in anyway, you can contact Cathy at 715-613-2672.
