MAJOR MARSHFIELD STREET RENAMED

A Marshfield street’s getting a new name.
Most of Marshfield’s main street is known as South Central Avenue, but segments of the street had different official names.
The city council took action this week to rename those segments, so the entire street up to the city limits will officially be named ‘South Central’.
Currently, the road is called Maple Avenue from 29th Street to the intersection with Highway 10. Then Roddis Avenue runs from 29th to 16th streets. South Central Avenue currently ends at Wildwood Park.
The name changes become effective March 1.
