LAYOFFS AT MAJOR AREA EMPLOYER

Another area company has announced a mass lay-off.
Abbyland Foods in Curtiss has alerted the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development that they plan to layoff between 25 and 40 workers. The layoffs could exceed 6 months.
Abbyland cites less demand for pork products for the cutback.
DWD's regional partner, the West Central Workforce Development Board, is providing rapid response services.
