F.D. RESPONDS TO ATV ACCIDENT

The Neillsville Fire Department was called to the scene of an ATV accident in the Town of Hewett yesterday afternoon.
According to fire chief Matt Meyer, the injured party called for help at around 3:42 p.m. He gave vague directions. The crew went to the area he described, but couldn’t find him. They searched the trails, finally spotting him about four miles from where he thought he was.
The man was transported with non-life threatening injuries.
The crew spent about one hour on the call.
