NEILLSVILLE AT COLBY JUST ONE OF THE BIG HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAMES FRIDAY NIGHT

The Neillsville Warrior football team will have their toughest test this Friday night as they travel to Colby to take on the unbeaten and defending State Champion Hornets. Colby is on a winning streak of 21 games and have been dominate again this year despite losing a number of all-conference players from last year's team. The Hornets are led by senior running back Adam Esselman who leads the Cloverbelt in rushing with just over 1100 yards and 17 touchdowns. Neillsville's defense will have their work cut out for them and offensively they'll have to control the ball to keep Colby's offense off the field. Game time is 7 pm and you can hear it live on 92.7 FM WPKG. Other big games on Friday night include Gilman at Wausau Newman in the Cloverwood Conference - Gilman is unbeaten and Newman has just one loss. In the Marawood, Chippewa Falls McDonell is coming off their win over Stratford with a game at Marathon. The Red Raiders are unbeaten while the Macks have one loss. Also in the Marawood, a game that may have lost a little luster in the last few weeks, Edgar goes up against Stratford. Edgar is unbeaten and ranked #1 in the state while six time defending state champ Stratford has now lost two games on the season.
