Posted by Larry Hoeser, Sports Director

The Neillsville Warrior football team needed overtime to beat Cadott Friday night despite having a 19 point halftime lead. With Neillsville leading 26-7 going into the second half, Cadott came out and scored 19 unanswered points including a fumble return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. However, Cain Trunkel was able to block the extra point try to keep the score at 26-26. Then in overtime, Mitchell Erickson scored from 25 yards out on the first play. Neillsville then intercepted Cadott's first pass in overtime to seal the win. The Warriors are now 3-1 in the Cloverbelt and will host Altoona this Friday for homecoming. You can hear the game live on 92.7 FM WPKG starting at 7 pm.
