NEILLSVILLE BUSINESS DAMAGED IN FIRE

The Neillsville Fire Department responded to the scene of a structure fire in downtown Neillsville Tuesday morning.
A passerby reported the fire at around 8:37 a.m. after noticing smoke coming from the roof of the Sunrise Real Estate building, located at 137 E. 5th Street, a block west of the Courthouse.
By 9:10 a.m., it appeared the crew had the fire under control.
Although there wasn’t much visible damage to the exterior of the building, it was obvious there was extensive smoke, fire and water damage inside.
