REGIS SOPHOMORE COMMITS TO UW MADISON

The Eau Claire Leader Telegram reports that Eau Claire Regis sophomore Heather Bowe has committed to the University of Wisconsin to play basketball. Bowe, a 6-foot-1 forward, averaged 15 points per game last season for the Ramblers and was a first-team All-Western Cloverbelt pick. Bowe will be a sophomore this year and she told Badgers women's basketball coach Lisa Stone she plans to accept the school's scholarship offer and will begin playing for her favorite collegiate team starting in 2012. Bowe said she had offers from "at least 25" other Division I schools, including De Paul, Minnesota and UW-Green Bay.
