A controversial dog auction could be calling it quits.
WQOW-TV in Eau Claire reports there will be no more sales at Horst Stables in Thorp.
The auctions have been the scene of several protests by opponents of so-called puppy mills.
WQOW sights “reliable sources” as saying the property owners think running the auction is too much of a hassle because of protests and media coverage.
