CHAPARRALS LOSE IN THE 9TH

The Merrill Rangers got by the Marshfield Chaparrals last night in Merrill 9-8 with the winning run scoring with 2 out in the bottom of the ninth. Marshfield scored 6 runs in the 5th and 2 more in the 6th inning but it wasn't enough last night. Eric Pritzl took the loss while Nick Grunenwald picked up the win for Merrill. Chuck Brehm had a good night from the plate for the Chaparrals going 2 for 4 with a home run, 3 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Alex Grunenwald was 4 for 5 with an RBI for the Rangers. Marshfield is now 14-10 on the season.
