CLARK CO. UNEMPLOYMENT RATE UP

Clark County’s unemployment rate remained in the middle of the pack in June.
According to newly released data form the Department of Workforce Development, the local rate was about 9.2%, up three-tenths of a percent from May’s rate of 8.9%, nearly double last year’s June rate of 4.8%.
Clark County has the 37th highest rate in the state; that’s unchanged from May.
Menominee County holds the dubious distinction of having the worst unemployment rate in Wisconsin at 12.1%; Dane County has the lowest rate, at 5.9%.
