NEW DENTAL CLINIC TO OPEN AUG. 10

 A new dental clinic in Neillsville should be open in less than a month.
Terry Kleutsch, Dental Administrator for the Marshfield Clinic system, says construction of the Marshfield Clinic Neillsville Dental Center in the Boon Commercial is nearing completion.
"We are wrapping up with construction. The building should be turned over to us by the end of this month, July 29th or 30th," she says, "our plan is to start seeing patients August 10th."
80% of the staff have been hired, including five dentists. Three of the dentists are currently training at the Marshfield Clinic’s facility in Chippewa Falls, Kleutsch says.
The clinic will help serve the huge population of Wisconsinites on medical assistance. 80% of Wisconsin dentists don't see those patients because the payments don’t cover their costs.
The Family Health Center will operate the clinic. FHC began in the early 70s by the Marshfield Clinic, but operates separate from the health giant.
According to a map prepared by Family Health Center of Marshfield, the clinic would expect to see patients from as far south as Warrens, as far east as Auburndale and as far west as Osseo.
The Clinic will begin making appointments on Monday, June 20th. You can call 743-1900 to make an appointment.
