SO FAR, SO GOOD FOR COUNTY SALES TAX

Despite a tough economy, it appears Clark County will reach its half-percent sales tax projections.
According to Finance Director Terri Domaszek, the County recently received its June payment from the Department of Revenue. To date, the county has received $342,500.
The budget projected $785,000 in new revenue from the half-percent tax.
Domaszek says the payments don’t include all of June, so she projects the county remains on pace to reach their budgeted amount.
The half-percent tax went into affect January 1.
