Construction of Marshfield’s new fire station is on hold.
The City Council did not approve the first stage of project bidding at their meeting Tuesday night.
The project was to start in August, but with the 5-4 Council vote, officials say the demolition and construction are now in limbo.
It appears some council members were worried they’d lose out on federal stimulus funds if they voted to approve bids this week.
