From Clark County Sheriff's Department:

On Friday, May 22, 2009, at 7:26 pm, the Clark County Sheriff’s Department received a 9-1-1 call of a farm accident in the Township of Weston, on the south side of Christie.

Initial investigation indicates the victim, Jonathon High, age 17, Neillsville, was working on a silo unloader in a silo on his parent’s farm. While repairing this, a cable broke, causing the victim and the unloader to fall almost 80 feet. The Neillsville Fire Department and Ambulance responded to the scene along with the Spirit of Marshfield air medical transportation service. Clark County Coroner Richard Schleifer pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The case continues to be investigated by the Clark County Sheriff’s Department.
