UPDATE: STRIKE NOT AVERTED
Thursday, April 16th, 2009 -- 4:17 pm Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director
Despite company statements to the contrary, union sources with Marshfield DoorSystems tell Central Wisconsin Broadcasting News they've overwhelmingly rejected the latest offer from the company.
Six-day notice was served to company officials this (Thursday) afternoon. The soonest the roughly 400 union members could strike is next Friday.
The employees have been working without a contract since April 1st.
Major sticking points included health insurance premiums, wages and mandatory overtime.
More on this story on Friday.
