GRASS FIRE IN TOWN OF GRANT

There was a grass fire Monday afternoon.
Neillsville Fire Chief Matt Meyer says his crew was called to the fire at around 3:16 p.m. It was located at W4139 Granton Rd., between Granton and Neillsville.
The property owner started a brush fire, that spread into some tall grass. About 1 ½ acres burned. The crew spent about 45 minutes on the scene.
