REEG WILL STAY IN THORP

The city administrator in Thorp will stay in Thorp, despite a job offer from the Village of Kronenwetter.

Randy Reeg says he and his family have changed their mind and want to stay put Thorp.

According to the Wausau Daily Herald, Reeg said the decision had nothing to do with a revelation that he was fired from the Department of Natural Resources in 2002 for stealing about $1,900 from the agency.

Charges were later dismissed as Reeg took part in a first offender program.
