SUDER UPSET WITH ACLU

State Representative Scott Suder (R-Abbotsford) blasts the court action, calling it a “conspiracy against common sense”. The ACLU is challenging the state's prohibition against domestic partner benefits for gay and lesbian couples. Suder says this is a case of the ACLU trying to legislate through the courts.
He says the lawsuit is part of a social agenda pushed by the ACLU to get gay marriage approved in the United States. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of six lesbian state employees who are seeking full medical insurance coverage and family leave protection for their partners -- even though their relationships have no legal standing in this state.
