A Plover woman accused in a murder-for-hire plot will undergo a competency exam.

Wednesday, Portage County Judge Thomas Flugaur ordered an inpatient competency examination for a 24-year-old Linda Dietze. She’s charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide in an apparent murder-for-hire scheme.

She is accused of shooting 50-year-old James Glodowski of Rosholt in the head and shoulder Nov. 18, 2008, near Zenoff Park in Stevens Point.

A clinical psychologist has already stated Dietze is incompetent to stand trial, but a second examination has been ordered. The prosecutor believes Dietze will be found competent to stand trial.

25-year-old Carlos Cummings of Stevens Point and Glodowski's 4-year-old wife, Carla, also have been charged in connection with the shooting.
