AUTOPSY FOR WOOD CO. WORKER
Friday, February 20th, 2009 -- 11:36 am
Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

It could be weeks before we know what led to a Wood County worker’s fatal fall into the freezing waters of Lake Dexter.

Rick Zorman, 52, of Pittsville was working on the dam when he apparently fell into open water late Wednesday afternoon and died before rescue workers arrived.

Authorities believe it was an accident. An autopsy will determine the cause of death.

OSHA and the state Department of Commerce will look into the working conditions, a mandatory step in case of a job-related fatality.

Zorman is being remembered as a intelligent and outgoing person. He co-owned the Martini Lounge in Marshfield.
