The Neillsville Warrior girls (17-0) knocked off Owen-Withee (13-4) 47-22 Tuesday night, clinching their 4th straight Eastern Cloverbelt Conference Championship.

The win came on Parents' Night at the Fieldhouse and was Neillsville's 32nd straight victory over conference foes.

"For the most part, if you asked the girls what our record was, they could tell you the zero, but they probably couldn't tell you the number of wins," says coach John Gaier, "These kids have had success for quite some time. This isn't rare air for them."

"They've done a great job of being real focused and just playing a day at a time."

Seniors on the team include Sheila Opelt, Mallori Sydorowicz and Allison Sydorowicz.

Neillsville has outscored their opponents 961 to 349.

Neillsville will play the winner of the Cloverbelt West in the Conference Championship Saturday, February 21.

Dale Erickson with the Central Wisconsin Sports Research Agency (CWSRA) says Osseo-Fairchild (13-2) currently leads the West; they hold a tie-breaker over Eau Claire Regis (12-2).
