NEW MARSHFIELD FIRE STATION DISCUSSED

A new Marshfield fire station won’t require the demolition of a popular drinking hole, after all.
The Marshfield NewsHerald reports the Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department’s new facility will be built about one block east of its current E. 4th Street location, but on the east half of the 600 block, not the west side; that means Brown’s Bar will be left alone.
City officials say all property owners affected have expressed an interest to sell in this location.
