PLANNING COMMISSION MEETS

Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

The Neillsville Planning Commission met Tuesday night.
  • The group approved extending the ATV trail from Grand Avenue down 8th Street to Degan’s Sports Zone, which is located in the old American Legion building. The extension will be subject to review after one year.
  • They also approved a zoning change for the property at 409 W. Division Street. It was zoned Residential, but would be zoned General Commercial under the Commission’s recommendation.

The change is subject to a public hearing Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. and City Council approval.
  • The group also tentatively approved an official map of future transportation projects. The map shows changes to USH 10 and STH 73 in the city limits. The map must be registered with the state DOT and listed with Clark County. None of the mapped changes are imminent; an official map is, basically, a “wishlist” of city planners.
  • The Commission voted to put a parcel of land at the corner of 7th and Grand Avenue up for bids. The old feed mill property with a minimum sales price of $8,500.
