LOCATION OF MARSHFIELD FIRE STATION REVEALED

The City of Marshfield has reportedly settled on a preferred location for a new fire station.
According to the Marshfield NewsHerald, officials propose building a new station on the 500 block of East Fourth Street, directly across the street to the east from the current station.
The paper reports the site was selected from a list of 15 locations because it has the least impact on commercial and residential properties and is the best value.
It appears, if approved, the decision would force razing of several properties, including Brown’s Bar, which is located at 504 East Fourth St.
