CHOPPER LANDS IN FIELD

Bad weather forced a medical helicopter to land in a field Monday.
The Mayo Clinic chopper landed in rural Eau Claire County after the pilot ran into poor visibility.
The chopper was transporting a Luther-Midelfort patient to Rochester, Minn. The patient was taken back to Luther Hospital and the flight crew took an ambulance to Minnesota instead.
Mayo says once the decision was made to land, the pilot was able to find the field in less than a minute.
