MAN DEAD AFTER JAILHOUSE HANGING

A 53-year-old Marshfield man was declared dead Wednesday, a day after he was found hanged in a Wood County Jail cell.
The man was being held on a $100,000 cash bond for multiple charges of identity theft, according to jail staff.
He says officers were conducting routine cell checks Tuesday about 5 a.m. when they found the man in his cell.
