A Hatfield man accused of murdering his ex-wife will be back in Jackson County Court today for a preliminary hearing.
Authorities say Douglas Sidie, 39, shot 27-year-old Alisha Sidie outside their Hatfield home on November 7th, and then allowed a search for the woman to proceed for about one week before investigators broke the case.
Sidie has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide, hiding a corpse and eight counts of obstructing an officer.
During a preliminary hearing, prosecutors must present enough evidence for a judge to deem there’s “probable cause” the accused committed a crime, and should be held for trial.
The preliminary hearing was slated to begin at 10 a.m.
