FORAGE GROUP LOOKING FOR MEMBERS

Farmers from Clark, Taylor, Marathon and Wood County discussed forages Thursday.
It’s a meeting of the Central Wisconsin Forage Council.
"The purpose of the Forage Council is just to stimulate some research and put some numbers down on the value of forages in our county, and surrounding counties," says UW-Extension Crops and Soils agent Richard Halopka.
The Council has been meeting for over twenty years, but is looking to drum up more interest.
"I know people are very busy today. We do have a core of people willing to move this research forward," Halopka notes, "We'd like to get a few new bodies in here and get some fresh ideas."
