OFFICIALS: NO PLANS TO SHUT PIZZA HUT

Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

We’ve heard some persistent rumors that Pizza Hut in Neillsville might close next year, but the company says they’re not true.

Anthony Cortese, Vice President of Marketing for Wisconsin Hospitality Group, which owns the Neillsville restaurant, says those rumors are false.

Cortese says there are currently no plans to close any of the company’s 83 Pizza Hut locations.

Cortese calls the Neillsville Pizza Hut “one of the better” locations.

While sales have been strong, he concedes food prices have impacted revenues.

He said the company is exploring expanded menus at some Pizza Hut locations, including Italian Bistro menus, or the addition of Wings Street menus. He wasn’t sure if Neillsville was on the list.

Wisconsin Hospitality Group also owns 41 Applebee’s Restaurants.
