A plane crashed into a residential neighborhood in Marshfield Saturday night, taking three lives.

WFRV-TV in Green Bay reports the victims were James Edwards and his two sons, Joshua and James Junior.

Edwards was the president of the Green Bay Junior Gamblers and owner of Thomas Electric, a Marshfield based business which has a location in Appleton.

The plane crashed into the backyard of 1201 W. 17th St. at about 11 p.m. Saturday. No one on the ground was injured.

Officials believe the plane was trying to land when it crashed.

Investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board examined the crash scene into the night on Sunday and were back on the scene today.
