ELECTION LEFTOVER: GREENWOOD SCHOOL DISTRICT

One election result from last week that we didn’t mention. The Greenwood school board will have a new member. School board president Jeanne Opelt elected not to seek reelection to the board. There were no announced candidates, but Lee Volovsek - with 182 write-in votes - easily out-distanced the second-place finisher and will serve a term on the Greenwood school board.
