BIG FIRE NEAR ALMA CENTER

A major fire snarled traffic on STH 95 near Alma Center yesterday afternoon.
Crews from several departments battled the blaze at Chippewa Bi Products. That business skins, processes and sells animal hides. They also make alligator and dog food.
It appeared an electrical problem might have triggered the blaze. Xcel Energy had to cut power to the area for about 30 minutes
