RESTITUTION ORDERED FOR TRAVEL AGENT

A Marshfield travel agent will have to repay nearly $200,000 to clients.
A judge ordered Marcia Meshak, former owner of Travel Pro, to repay the 57 clients she defrauded last year by taking payments for trips, which were never scheduled.
But, the U.S. Attorney who prosecuted the case admits the clients will likely never recover their losses because Meshak’s debts outweigh her assets.
Meshak was sentenced in August to two years and nine months in prison.
Meshak fled last year, but eventually found in Colorado.
She has filed an appeal of her conviction.
