NEILLSVILLE F.D. PUTS OUT HOT HAY

The Neillsville Fire Department was able to prevent a barn fire Thursday night.
The crew was called to a report of “hot hay” at the barn on Maple Rd. in the town of Grant. The call came in after 9 p.m.
The crew removed around nine loads of hay.
Fire chief Matt Meyer says it was a close call and some of the hay actually ignited.
They spent around 3 ½ hours on the scene.
