Two Neillsville men face over 30 counts each related to a string of burglaries and thefts in the Hatfield and Neillsville areas.
According to the criminal complaint, 35-year-old Mark Hiserman and 20-year-old Nathaniel Luther are charged with stealing a refrigerator, flat screen TVs, lap tops, video game systems, a stove, power tools, clothing, furniture, cash and more from several homes in the area.
Nearly one dozen firearms, including shotguns, rifles and handguns, were taken. All tolled, officials estimate tens-of-thousands of dollars of property was taken in the break-ins.
The thefts allegedly began in May and continued through last week. Detectives were able to link Hiserman to the crimes when he took a Granton boy’s stolen John Deere coin jar to the bank.
He also took other stolen items to a pawn shop in Wisconsin Rapids.
