Clark County’s new crops and soils agent says area residents should get ready for more farm vehicles on the roads in the coming weeks.

Richard Halopka says corn moisture in area fields is nearing the level that farmers harvest it for corn silage for bunker silos.

It will soon be dry enough for tower silos.

That means farmers have a couple-week window to harvest.

Many road restrictions are lifted this time of year to allow for the harvest.
