Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

Authorities finally caught up with a man they believe was involved in a rash of burglaries around the area.

35-year-old Mark Hiserman fled from officers when they tried to apprehend him Monday afternoon.

He wasn’t as lucky Tuesday.

Authorities were able to catch him at around 1 p.m. after a brief foot chase through the City of Neillsville.

A tip from an anonymous source led detectives to residences in Neillsville where they recovered thousands of dollars of stolen property, including electronics, appliances and furniture consistent with the description of items stolen in a recent rash of burglaries in the area.

The burglaries remain under investigation.
