BURGLARIES ON THE RISE

The Clark County Sheriff's Department is urging local residents to lock their doors and keep an eye out as they investigate a rash of burglaries.
The break-ins are under investigation, but there have been dozens of thefts reported in the Hatfield area, and more recently, just outside of Neillsville.
The break-ins outside of Neillsville have occurred during the daytime hours. One home had a large screen TV and computer taken. There is some evidence the burglars are monitoring the homes and waiting for the occupants to leave.
Investigators want area residents to be aware of suspicious vehicles and call in suspicious activity.
