AAA: EXPECT LESS TRAFFIC
Friday, August 22nd, 2008 -- 3:02 pm Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director
Expect fewer people on the roads during the Labor Day holiday. Triple-A projects a slight decrease in the number of Americans traveling during the holiday weekend.
Nearly 34-million Americans will travel 50 miles or more. That's down about one-percent from last year.
Holiday auto travelers will find gas prices nationwide averaging $3.69 for a gallon of self-serve regular - down 35 cents from a month ago, but 91 cents higher than last year.
