NEW SEARCH WARRANT IN LANPHEAR CASE

Wood County authorities made another trip to the home of a man charged with kidnapping, imprisoning and sexually assaulting two Wisconsin Rapids area men.
Detectives went back Edward Lanphear's Saratoga residence last week to retrieve a safe, although the contents don't seem very pertinent to the investigation.
According to court documents, the safe contained nearly $500 in two-dollar bills and a coin collection including over $100 in dollar- and half-dollar coins.
Lanphear will next be in court next Thursday for a preliminary hearing.
