CHIPPEWA CO. MAN SENTENCED IN O.D. DEATH OF WIFE

A man already behind bars is sentenced in Chippewa County to an additional 11 years in prison for the overdose death of his wife.
Kevin Wootan is currently serving a 5-year sentence at the Dodge Correctional Institution on a probation revocation from a prior felony.
Wootan was sentenced to a combined eleven years Wednesday for first-degree reckless endangerment and delivery of cocaine as a repeat offender. The additional time is to be served consecutively to his current sentence.
A sentence of 4 years was imposed for child neglect and delivering marijuana. But that time is to be served concurrently with the 11-year sentence.
Erin Wootan died in September 2006 of a mixed-drug overdose.
