BODY OF MISSING TAYLOR CO. WOMAN FOUND

The body of a Taylor County woman missing since late January has been found in Sawyer County.
Two fishermen found the remains of 39-year-old Jean Viken about 10 miles north and 2.5 miles east of Hawkins.
Forensic medical specialists confirmed the remains were those of Viken. Analysis also indicated that the probable cause of death was by gunshot wound.
Other evidence was also collected at the scene.
The Taylor County Sheriff's Department is investigating Viken's death as a homicide.
