NEW FINANCE COMMITTEE FORMED

A new Clark County Finance Committee will have to make some tough decisions this year.
Three of the five committee members elected by the County Board yesterday are new to the committee.
Gone is chairman Don Kirn of Willard. A new chair will be elected tonight.
New to the committee are Roger Alger, Charles Harwick and Frieda Rollins. Larry Fitzmaurice and Wayne Hendrickson are the only two remaining members.
The county is projected to face a $1.5-million deficit next year.
There has been speculation since the April 1 elections that the half-percent county sales tax may be floated again as a way to close the gap.
