A UW-Madison student from Marshfield is murdered in her off-campus apartment.
Cops found the body of Brittany Zimmermann, 21, when responding to a welfare check call.
Zimmerman was a pre-med student who was planning to graduate in the fall, according to Lori Berquam, who is the university's Dean of Students.
Zimmerman's parents say she lived in her apartment with her fiancé. The two planned to marry next year.
Police have no suspects.
They say this case could be related to a similar unsolved murder earlier this year, which happened just about a mile away from Zimmerman's apartment.
A cause of death has not been released.
