A Neillsville man accused of one of the more infamous crimes in area history could be going back to prison for a long, long time.

Wayne Jensen has already served a 3-year prison term for detonating a pipe bomb in the vehicle of his ex-wife's ex-husband. The man and his then fiancé were injured in the blast.

The explosion occurred just north of Neillsville on STH 73 in July 2003.

After several story changes, Jensen original plea deal was thrown out and the more serious charge of Attempted Homicide was reinstated.

Monday, Jensen struck another plea deal, but this one will likely net him even more prison time.

Jensen pleaded no contest to charges of 1st degree reckless endangerment, use of improvised explosives, aggravated battery and criminal damage to property.

He faces a maximum of 64 ˝ years behind bars.

The attempted homicide charge has been dismissed.

A pre-sentence investigation has been ordered. Jensen will be sentenced on April 25th.
