LOCATION OF NEW MARSHFIELD FIRE STATION UP TO VOTERS

Voters will decide the location of a controversial new Marshfield fire station.
Last night, the Common Council voted 6-4 to place a referendum question on the April 1 city ballot that will ask residents where they think it should go.
The station has been proposed for the north side of town, but many area residents have questioned the need for another fire station.
Funding for the new facility was included in the 2008 budget.
