A 36-year-old Neillsville woman was severely injured in a pedestrian accident Saturday.

It happened just after noon on the 500 block of Hewett Street, in front of Sniteman Pharmacy.

According to witness accounts, Mary Ellen Sutfin McCullough was removing dogs from the back of her SUV, which was parallel parked on the west side of the street.

A vehicle driven by a 91-year-old Neillsville woman was parked directly behind the SUV. The vehicle pulled forward, "pinching" McCullough in between.

She suffered severe injuries to her legs and was eventually transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Her condition is unknown.

The accident remains under investigation.
