CLARK COUNTY MIDDLE OF THE PACK IN HEALTH RANKINGS

The University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute is out with their annual county health rankings and Clark County is right in the middle of the pack.
Clark County ranks 33rd out of 72 counties.
The study looks at two main categories: health outcomes and health determinants. Outcomes are actual health, while determinants predict future health.
Clark County ranks 18th in general health status, with only about 10.5-percent of the population currently experiencing fair to poor health.
The only major red flag is in the mortality rates of children 1 to 14 years old. Clark County ranks fourth-worst in the state behind Florence, Iron and Waushara counties.
